Warning: Bacteria in French cheese

Stuttgart (AP) — the Baden-Württemberg State Ministry of agriculture warned against eating bacteria-contaminated cheese from Alsace. The veterinary inspection Office Freiburg have bacteria of the species Listeria monocytogenes in the soft cheese “Petit Munster l ‘ Anglemont” found. Especially young children, elderly and pregnant women could develop flu-like symptoms after eating. The cheese manufactured from raw milk has the minimum durability date 5 August 2002; the packaging bears the approval number F 68.175.04 CEE of the manufacturer.
