Definition

Term used in Pharmacology for the substance which is mixed active principles to make them more easily absorbable (spammy).

Classification

A drug includes (outside the vehicle):

  • Base: this is the substance to be used for its therapeutic effect
  • The adjuvant: another substance from reinforce the effect of the base
  • The interlude (from the latin inter: between and medius: who is in the middle) is a component whose purpose is to facilitate the combination with other substances that make up
  • The hotfix (in remedial English) is the substance added to a drug to change or soften it
