SYNEDIL Sulpiride capsules 50 mg and 200 mg Action
Neuroleptic belonging to the family of benzamides.
Neuroleptics are medicines that Act on the psyche and which are more particularly used in the treatment of psychoses. They are classified based on their chemical structures as well as on the type of effect that predominates among them. Chemical classification is particularly impenetrable, we’ll therefore talk of classification based on the type of predominant effect. They are classified in:
• Sedatives: decrease agitation and aggression of the patient
Anti-délirants •: they remove or diminish the delusions and hallucinations
• Désinhibiteurs: they fight a certain passivity of the patient.

More specifically, sulpiride is antipsychotic neuroleptic, interferes in nerve transmissions using dopamine as neurotransmitter. At higher doses, sulpiride also has an antiproductive action.

Indications
• Mental disorders
• Short course treatment of anxiety (when the usual treatments are inadequate or ineffective)

Dosage
It is individual and may vary from 1 tablet in several tablets per day.

Contraindications
• Pheochromocytoma
• Association with dopaminergic medication.
• Promoting heart rhythm disorders and particularly torsades de pointes

Adverse effects
• The undesired judgment of sulpiride faces a serious relapse.
• Temperature rise
• Muscle stiffness
• Neuroleptic Malignant syndrome
• Parkinson’s disease (unless noted)
• Epilepsy
• Weight gain
• Orthostatic hypotension (drop in pressure passing suddenly lie to standing position)
• Renal failure
• Drowsiness
• Inappropriate movements
• Involuntary movements
• Increased secretion of prolactin may result in a lack of rules, an increase in the volume of the breasts, a flow of milk by the nipple.

Precautions in use
• Elderly people (special care)
• The conduct of machine is dangerous after the absorption of this medication (especially in the following hours)

Pregnancy lactation
If a pregnancy occurs during treatment, the medical team appreciates the potential risk associated with the use of this molecule on a case by case.
The taking of sulpiride until delivery requires the monitoring of the infant by a specialized team.

Not to associate the drug with
• Alcohol
• A sedative (without a medical agreement)
• Drug containing dopamine: a risk of cancellation of their effects
