Definition

After the second world war, some deportees in the concentration camps have presented a variety of traumatic war neurosis, Targowla syndrome. It was characterized by the occurrence of exaltation of emotional type (hyperthymesia) memory access, occurring late access and reminiscence for reminders to the memory of a souvenir or multiple traumatic memories.

Symptoms

It results in affective and emotional disorders, but the patient keeps its intact mental functions. Indeed, unlike psychosis, neurosis does not seriously alter personality. The traumatic war neurosis was due to unresolved psychological conflict, essentially one of surpassing the injuries occurred during the conflict. This results in more or less serious psychiatric disorder following the degree of neurosis:

  • Anxiety
  • Aggression
