Neu-Isenburg (CNN) — by wearing a ski helmet can reduce the risk significantly from head injuries. The risk drops to 29 percent, reports the Neu-Isenburg «doctors newspaper», citing a large Canadian study with more than 4000 winter sports enthusiasts. The results also indicated that the risk of neck injury by carrying the helmet will be rather greater. According to the study of the University of Alberta in Edmonton, the head injury in almost 70% of cases are concussions. Sprains (40 percent) and vertebral fractures (16%) are most frequent in the neck injury.
