Simple and free view tests in October

Posted by: Garrett Hinnenkamp  |  Category: News  |  Views: 0

-The French can test for free their view between 5 and 10 October, with 6,000 opticians members of the National Association for the improvement of sight (ASNAV). These professionals from the view will assess the vision of patients aged 18 years and will present them a green card or a red card, based on the results obtained. The list of participating opticians is available on the site of the ASNAV.
Of many opticians signs as Atol, Optic 2,000, or even Lynx optical members, as well as independent opticians, will participate in this operation. They will realize a free and simple Visual capacity test.

They will assess acuity patients, by testing the near vision and far each of the two eyes to measure monocular acuity, and both eyes together to calculate the binocular vision. If Visual acuity is not satisfactory, the optician may detect an amétropie, such as myopia, an astigmatism, a hyperopia or presbyopia, for patients of almost 45 years.

They will also assess the Visual field, to test the side vision on a horizontal plane at 180 °. If this test is conclusive, with minimal binocular acuity of 8/10th and one of the two monocular acuités of at least 5/10th, the optician will give the patient a green card.

However, patients who received a green card will be required to regularly monitor their view, because problems such as glaucoma can occur insidiously.

In other cases, the optician will give a red card, to induce the person to visit an ophthalmologist, for a more comprehensive review.
