Pharmacists: medicine cabinets of the customers in the test

Munich (ddp). In a week of action, the Bavarian pharmacists want to check the medical cabinets for its customers. The annual routine checks of the medicine cabinet is still not for each course, a spokesman for the pharmacies said on Tuesday in Munich. «We want to change that with our action week – because in an emergency should be all important medicines at hand and ready», he added. From 8 to 13 October, customers can bring their medication in the pharmacy. Staff check the expiration date and make recommendations for missing drugs. Upon request inform them about the professional disposal of expired drugs and revenue information. The action is supported by the Bavarian Chamber of pharmacists and the Bavarian pharmacy Association.
