The most Germans would like to do a wide berth Munich (netdoktor.de) – to old people’s homes. Prefer, they would be old in your own four walls and end up in a nursing home. Nine out of ten citizens would use an age-appropriate facilities of the apartment or House emergency at the age of AIDS and services such as out-patient care, to avoid so the move to a home. This resulted in a representative Forsa survey commissioned by the Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe.

Also in the support by the family, the Germans see an alternative to the nursing home. Seven out of ten citizens believe that their family members in the age regularly look after the rights. This expectation is vary in size depending on the age: while 84 percent of younger respondents between 18 and 29 years later to help by members of hope, only 64 percent share this confidence about 60.

Two-thirds of the respondents can think of, to entrust an out-patient service to support. In addition to the discharge by care services, 86 percent of respondents appreciate a a household emergency appliance as an important aid for age appropriate living. Three of the four citizens are of the opinion that a household emergency appliance can delay the move to the nursing home, or even unnecessarily makes. As a further important support in the age, transportation, shopping help and meal services are called.

In 2009 almost 2.34 million dependants lived in Germany, so the Federal Statistical Office. The majority (67 percent) were women. More than two-thirds of the patient were supplied at home community (69 per cent or 1.62 million). Most have been maintained only by members.
