LOFTYL Buflomédil tablets to 150 mg. Action
Vasodilator drug that is having the capacity to increase the size of the vessels, thus helping to fight against spasms of the small vessels.

Indications
The buflomédil is a drug used in the symptomatic treatment of Arteritis (inflammation of the arteries resulting in a decrease of their caliber) and Raynaud’s phenomenon: paroxysmal digital ischemia manifested by the successive appearance of pallor and episodes of cyanosis (bluish grey and staining reflecting a lack of oxygen) in fingers). A bright red colour associated with the affected fingers pain can be caused by a too sudden warming or emotional stress interrupting the arrival of the blood. The location of this phenomenon is sometimes limited to two or three fingers of each hand. It is estimated that Raynaud’s phenomenon affects approximately 10% of the general population.
Some medical teams advocate this molecule for the prevention of the occurrence of frostbite.

Dosage
300 mg-600 mg per day divided into 2 or 3 outlets. The tablets will be swallowed with water.

Contraindications
• Epilepsy

Adverse effects
• Nausea
• Vomiting
• Headaches (headaches)
• Vertigo
• Earthquakes
• Tingling of fingers
• Tingling toes
• Sensation of heat at the level of the skin
• Skin rash

Precautions in use
• Renal failure
• Hepatic impairment

Pregnancy and breastfeeding
During pregnancy, the effect of this drug is not known with precision. This is the reason for which, by caution, its use must be deprecated in pregnant women or those who are breastfeeding.

Note
Patients should be aware that this drug is active only on the symptoms of that disease. This is the reason why it is useful to add to the drug taking the regular practice of walking which may delay progression of the disease also.
Furthermore, it is strongly recommended, to stop smoking and to rebalance a possible diabetes and overweight.
In Raynaud’s disease, there appears to be an anxious component which must be taken into account.
