Eye laser pioneer: Zurich surgeon receives US price

The Zurich ophthalmologist Theo Seiler receives the “lifetime achievement award” of the American Academy of Ophthalmology Zurich (Reuters) – as first European. The native German, 1986, was the first surgeon who treated a man with laser on the eye, as the Institute headed by Seiler for tlct and Ophthalmology Surgery (IROC) announced on Friday. The internationally renowned award will be presented on 23 October in New Orleans Seiler.
