EXACYL Tranexamic acid tablets 500 mg oral solution and injection intravenous of 5 ml. Action
Drug inhibiting the destruction of blood clots (coagulated blood) which are naturally when a hemorrhage.

Indications
Treatment of certain bleeding occurring in:
• Gynaecology
• Otolaryngology
• Gastroenterology
• Urology
(non-exhaustive list)

Contraindications
• Accident thrombo-Embolic (occurrence of intravenous blood clot and/or in the arteries of the lung apparatus)
• Severe kidney failure
• History of convulsions
• Disseminated intravascular coagulation (trend spontaneous making of clots in the bloodstream)

Adverse effects
• Skin allergy
• Seizures
• Diarrhea
• Malaise
• Nausea
• Vertigo
• Vomiting

Dosage
Adult: 4 to 8 tablets, or 2 to 4 drinkables per day. It is necessary to distribute the drugs in two or three catches.
Child: the amount of tranexamic acid is directly dependent on the weight.

Precautions and use
This drug passes into breast milk, this is the reason for which it is contraindicated during breastfeeding.
During pregnancy, the effect of tranexamic acid is not known with precision. Only the medical team prescribes that can evaluate the potential risk of its use in the pregnant woman.
