The Dicodin, containing of dihydrocodeine, is an analgesic (Painkiller) opiate low, used for the treatment of pain of moderate to severe intensity. Dicodin blocks the nerve impulses that convey the pain when it has not been a transformation of its mechanism as it occurs in Fibromyalgia among others. Dicodin is likely to lead to a dependency (addiction, subservience). It’s an only prescription drug.

• Disorientation temporospatiale.

• Allergy.
• Elderly people.
• Renal failure.
• Diabetic (risk of occurrence of hypoglycemia: fall of sugar in the blood).

Contraindications:

• Allergy to drugs containing opioids (of the family of opium).
• Pregnancy and lactation.
• Central nervous system depression.
• Respiratory depression.
• Renal failure.
• Sports (substance likely to urine positive reaction in doping controls.)
• Drivers and users of machines (risk of drowsiness).
• Elderly or medical control only.
• Infant and child of less than 15 years.
• Hypnotic (drug inducing sleep in theory).
• Carbamazepine (anticonvulsant drugs used to combat crises epilepsy).
• Sedatives.
• Other opiate.
• Antihistamines.
• Alcohol.

Comments:
In oblivion for more than two hours to continue to take the usual dose. More than two hours it is necessary to wait for the next drug taking. It is contraindicated to double the dose taken usually.
(In case of overdose the patient may appear nausea, vomiting, disorders of consciousness ranging from somnolence to coma), miosis (decrease of the calibre of the pupils) decreased respiratory rate and heart rate (which can go up to a cardiac arrest).
