Cigarette packages with shock images from Wednesday

-As announced in the former Minister of health and of Sports Roselyne Bachelot on April 16, 2010, images shock favourite packets of cigarettes as early as Wednesday, April 20. The back of all the packages will include photographs shocks in colors accompanied by a specific message. Smokers can view sick lungs along with the message “Smoking causes cancer”. The front will it consist of general warnings such as “Smoking kills”.
Among the other fourteen specific messages introduced on cigarette packages, users can discover “smoking during pregnancy at night to the health of your child”, “protect children: do not them breathe your smoke”, “Smoking may reduce the blood flow and causes impotence” or even “get help to quit smoking”. They will be all accompanied a shock image.

According to the order published in the Official Journal on April 20, 2010, a shock photograph illustrated messages will cover “at least 40 %” of the back of the package and will be surrounded by a black panel with a minimum thickness of 3 mm.
