Hamburg/Berlin (Reuters) – the Federal Institute for Pharmaceuticals has warned of a cancer therapy with vitamin preparations. Also the University Hospital Charité strongly opposed a controversial physician claiming to have a krebskrankes child cured by vitamins. The doctor Matthias Rath claims that cancer could be fought successfully with the vitamins sold by him and amino acid supplements. At a press conference in Hamburg, Christian Steffen of the Federal Institute described Rath’s approach as “charlatanism”. He warned that to renounce Orthodox treatment for diseases.
