Definition

Malformation of the digits characterized by flexion (approximation) standing with two phalanges of the ear (in other words, the atrial remains folded consistently). Sometimes, are the other fingers which are achieved by the camptodactylie, and more specifically the joint located between the first and the second phalanx.

Causes

The camptodactylie is observed in many neuromuscular disorders, such as arthrogryposis among others.

• The acetabulum is a (set of signs) syndrome congenital (existing at birth) and sometimes appearing as early as pregnancy, characterized by multiple stiffness of joints, most often in bending (closure) and more or less symmetrical.

It can also be caused by infections such as syndromes with rigidity of skin:

• Esterly and Mac Kusick syndrome
• Syndrome of trismus pseudo-camptodactylie, which causes an impossibility to open completely the mouth and which the transmission is done according to autosomal dominant (it is enough that one of the two parents is the genetic anomaly so that the child has the disease).
• Freeman-Sheldon syndrome, called also the piping syndrome or carpotarsien, which manifests itself in children whose intelligence is normal and is characterized by a narrow mouth, deep folds on the amount, a sinking of eyes, a blépharophimosis (length of the palpebral slot = insufficient space between the two eyelids), a deviation of the fingers, toes overlapping.
• The Guadalajara camptodactylie characterized by a micro-cornée (small cornea), an elbow whose movements are limited (for type 1), a small size, large ears, an anomaly of the bearings and pubis (for type 2).
