Hamburg (ots) – actually illegal pesticides are used in conventional production of Johannis-and gooseberries in Germany. The Office of consumer protection and food safety (BVL) confirmed these findings, published yesterday by the Greenpeace EinkaufsNetz in Bonn on Monday evening. Six of a total of 20 proven pesticides are not authorised. Greenpeace has found the illegal pesticides at six fruits tested by a total of 28. Greenpeace will reimburse display due to the use of non-authorised pesticides at the competent prosecuting authorities. “Thus is officially confirmed that illegal pesticides are sprayed in the German fruit growing”, says Greenpeace chemistry expert Manfred Krautter. “We are dealing here with a solid food scandal to do.” Producer of Johannis-and gooseberry in southern Germany endanger the health of consumers and the environment with highly hazardous pesticides. “The poison Panscherei must stop immediately.” Illegal pesticides it is according to BVL to parathion, Boscalid, Flusilazole, Iprovalicarb, Methoxyfenozide and Tebufenozid.
