Acetylsalicylic acid (aspirin) tablets, enteric box 30, manufactured by BAYER PHARMA laboratories.

Properties
This medicine contains aspirin which has outside of other properties that make more fluid blood. The effect lasts between four and eight days after discontinuation of treatment.
Aspirin protect allows in theory to prevent recurrence of cardiovascular disease due to the presence of a clot of blood in an artery. It may be from a myocardial infarction of cerebral vascular accident etc.

Contraindications

  • Gastrointestinal ulcer disease
  • History of hypersensitivity to acetylsalicylic acid
  • Bleeding
  • Haemorrhagic risk
  • Third trimester pregnancy

Precautions in use

  • Anaphylactic accidents
  • Alteration of hemostasis persistent for a week or more after cessation of treatment
  • Asthma
  • Intrauterine device
  • Abdominal pain
  • Epistaxis
  • Gingivorragie
  • Hematemesis
  • GI bleeding can be the cause of iron-deficiency anaemia
  • Renal failure
  • Melena
  • Menorrhagia
  • Bleeding
  • Edema
  • Allergic reaction
  • Characterized by insufficient Reye’s syndrome severe hepatocellular in child with hyperthermia treated with aspirin, especially following a viral infection
  • Hemorrhagic syndrome
  • Digestive disorders
  • Ulceration of the stomach
  • Urticaria

Side effects

  • Anaphylaxis
  • Asthma
  • Decreased hearing
  • Ringing in the ears
  • Abdominal pain
  • Bleeding
  • Headache overdosage
  • Quincke’s oedema
  • Ulcer
  • Urticaria

Aspirin should not be associated with the following drugs:

  • Anticoagulants
  • Antidiabetic agents
  • Other nonsteroidal drugs
  • Chlorpropamide (which increases the risk of hypoglycemic)
  • Diuretics: precautions in case of high-dose aspirin (hydration, renal function).
  • Glucocorticoids
  • Heparin
  • Converting enzyme inhibitors: precautions if high dose salicylates
  • Insulin
  • Interferon alpha
  • Methotrexate
  • Ticlopidine
  • Gastrointestinal topical: increased renal excretion of salicylates to take into account.
  • Uricosurics benzbromarone (Probenecid)

Intrauterine device: risk of lesser efficiency (although there is no consensus on this subject).
