Non-morphine Painkiller that has antipyretic activity and platelet antiagrégante. Acetylsalicylic acid also has an anti-inflammatory effect high dose.

Indications
• Pain
• Hyperthermia
• Inflammation
• Rheumatic illnesses

Dosage
Do not exceed 2 g by taking and 6 g per day.
Analgesics and antipyretics acetylsalicylic acid properties appear from 250 mg to 1 g by taking up to 3 g per day.
For rheumatic illnesses, the dosage may be increased to 6 g per day
Its anti-inflammatory properties appear from 3 to 6 g a day its platelet antiagrégantes properties appear from 50 mg per day. The ASPEGIC through the injection can be 0.5 to 1 g per injection, maximum dosage of 4 g per day. Children over 6 years: 10 to 25 mg / kg / day in 4 to 6 injections
Do not exceed 80 mg / kg / day for babies and infants from 0 to 30 months and 100 mg / kg / day for children 30 months to 15 years.

Contraindications
• Gastrointestinal ulcer disease

• Heparin
• Converting enzyme inhibitors: precautions if high dose salicylates
• Insulin
• Interferon alpha
• Methotrexate
• Ticlopidine
• Gastrointestinal topical: increased renal excretion of salicylates to take into account.
• Uricosurics benzbromarone (Probenecid)

Intrauterine device: risk of lesser efficiency (although there is no consensus on this subject).
