A tour to promote the installation of defibrillators

-The SMR/BFM association organizes the “Train of the heart” event from 7 to October 20 in 13 cities in France. This action aims to educate local elected officials and the general public on the need to generalize the installation of cardiac defibrillators, whose use is authorized for all since 2007 in France.
The association created by Alain and Isabelle Weill is also committed to promote the purchase by companies and to develop the regulatory framework for in all public places.
The Decree of May 4, 2007 authorizes the use of automatic external cardiac defibrillators, or non-automatic, all in France. According to the association, “ease of use and the limited cost of 1,500 euros H.T., a defibrillator should facilitate installation.”
Every year, 40,000 people die of a heart community, approximately 110 per day. After the French Federation of Cardiology, if the patient is not supported within ten minutes of its crisis, its chances of survival are quasi-nulles. Each minute that passes, the victim loses 10% survive.
The best of solutions for saving an individual victim of a heart attack is to administer an electric shock from a defibrillator. If this is done the first minute, it increases the chances of survival of the patient of 90%.
